When I work with families, expectant mothers, or anyone looking to capture a special moment, I always remind them that the location isn’t just a backdrop—it’s part of your story. It’s important to me that the place where we capture your memories feels right, reflects who you are, and helps you feel comfortable so we can focus on what really matters: your moments.

Outdoor Sessions

If you love the idea of candid, natural moments with gorgeous lighting, outdoor sessions are a great fit. We can capture playful, relaxed shots of your family, especially with little ones who love to move around. Outdoor locations give us plenty of space to explore and enjoy nature's beautiful backdrops. Whether it’s a park, beach, or an urban spot, outdoor settings create images that feel free and open.

Studio Sessions

Let’s talk about the beauty of a studio. A studio might not come with a sunset or rolling hills, but it gives us something else—complete control over every aspect of your photos. This can be a huge advantage, especially in Texas, where summer heat can be overwhelming. When it’s 100 degrees outside and you're pregnant or have young children, being in a cool, air-conditioned studio means we can focus on creating beautiful images without worrying about the weather or heat exhaustion.

In a studio, we also have the freedom to play with backdrops, lighting, and setups that highlight you in the best way possible. Whether you want something classic, modern, or artistic, the controlled environment allows us to be creative without the unpredictability of the outdoors. This is especially important for maternity shoots—pregnancy is such a delicate and beautiful time, and a studio session allows us to create images that reflect that beauty while keeping you comfortable.

In-Home Sessions

I truly believe some of the best photos come from the places we feel most at ease. If you’re a new parent or just love the idea of capturing everyday moments, an in-home session can be incredibly special. Whether it’s your baby’s first steps or your family’s morning routine, these are the little memories that are worth freezing in time. I love stepping into my clients’ homes and finding the heart of your family life—it’s real, it’s unposed, and it’s you.

Seasons and Light—Why Timing Matters

I’ll admit, I’m obsessed with good light. It’s why I often recommend golden hour sessions—the light is soft, warm, and so flattering. But more than that, I want your photos to feel connected to a specific time—whether it’s the warmth of a summer sunset or the crispness of a fall morning. We’ll plan your session around the light that best matches your vision, making sure every photo has that beautiful, natural glow.

Choosing the right location is more than just a backdrop—it’s part of how we tell your story. Whether we’re shooting outdoors in natural light, creating a calm moment in the studio, or capturing life as it happens in your home, my goal is always the same: to make sure your photos feel like you.
